2026-01-19 — MichaelRossiPoliSci — original

Nearly one year ago, Donald Trump began his second non-consecutive term as U.S. President. In this past year we have witnessed the militarization of various security forces in the country, attempts at brokering a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, a tenuous but determined partnership with Israel throughout the Middle East, and most recently, the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro with attempts at controlling Venezuela's oil market, threats of seizing Greenland from Denmark, and attempts at fomenting unrest and regime change in Iran with the help of Israel.

Suffice to say the first 20 days of 2026 have been momentous, with many around the world questioning Trump's reasoning and guessing what he'll do next and where.

Join me, Pyotr, and James as we discuss all of this, alongside the future of NATO, the possible responses from the EU, BRICS, and the Global South, and what we may expect to happen in the coming weeks and months.
