ASK DOC: WHAT IS THE “REMNANT OF GOD” IN SCRIPTURE?

Throughout Scripture, the concept of a “remnant” appears again and again—but what does it actually mean? Is it a small ethnic group, a future end-times faction, or something deeper rooted in God’s redemptive plan?

In this episode of Ask Doc, the biblical doctrine of the remnant is examined from Genesis to Revelation. Rather than a shifting, nationalistic category, the remnant is shown to be those who are preserved by God through faith—defined not by bloodline, but by covenant union with Christ.

Anchored in passages such as Isaiah 10, Romans 9–11, and Revelation 12, this study traces how God has always worked through a faithful remnant, even in times of widespread apostasy. It confronts common assumptions, clarifies prophetic language, and establishes a consistent biblical framework that centers on Christ as the fulfillment of all covenant promises.

The issue is not identifying a group in the world today. The issue is understanding how Scripture defines the people of God.
