ASK DOC: AM I IN OR OUT OF THE REMNANT?

Can someone think they’re part of the remnant but not be?

This episode confronts that question directly by returning to Scripture as the sole authority. The biblical doctrine of the remnant is not defined by personal perception, religious identity, or association with a group—it is defined by God’s calling, preservation, and the evidence of true faith.

Drawing from texts such as Romans 11:5 (KJV): “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace,” and Matthew 7:21 (KJV): “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven…,” this study exposes the danger of false assurance and self-identification apart from obedience to Christ.

The pattern throughout Scripture is consistent: many assume they belong to God, but only those who are truly united to Christ by faith—demonstrated through perseverance and obedience—are counted among His people.

This episode dismantles subjective claims and replaces them with objective biblical criteria, forcing a necessary distinction between profession and possession.
